Jigging for samsonfish is fast becoming the most popular offshore sportfishing craze ever to hit WA.
And why not, with loads of the mighty samsonfish on tap, sometimes schooling in their thousands over sea containers and wrecks, we’re unique in the world and it’s no wonder visitors are flying in and paying thousands of dollars to do it.
But many boaties find it difficult to locate the spots, generally in 100-150 metres of water with no landmarks. Even if you do find them, how do you set up your gear so you aren’t losing $20 lures … and how do you jig?
