Most anglers can set about finding at least some bream in the Swan River. Actually, they’re everywhere these days but finding a fish over 25cm isn’t anywhere near as easy.
Well, what about a bream over 40cm … or even over 45?!?
They are out there but they require special techniques to catch. I’ve been working on this for a couple of years now and I can share with you secrets to finding and catching 45cm bream, even during the middle of the day.
The lesson covers finding fresh bait, getting to the right spot for that time of year, setting up your tackle and leaders using special hooks, getting through the blowfish, learning to hook bigger, fussy bream and finally fighting them and landing them around pylons.
You’ll be amazed when you see massive, snapper sized bream just swimming around in the open.
A small boat is preferred but I can do very well from shore at most times of the year.
