When I first bought a boat, I expected to just wander out into the middle of the ocean, drop the pick and be into the fish.
These days, of course, I know better. Newcomers to ocean fishing can find even the simplest of fish hard to find, let alone a big snapper or dhuie.
If you’ve been doing it tough, don’t worry! We can help you.
Myself or one of my team can come on board your boat as your own personal consultant. We’ll make sure you’re launching and retrieving correctly, then set out to target fish that you want to catch. One of the biggest problems people have is that they don’t target their species.
We’ll make a day long fishing plan with you and, starting with the correct gear and tackle, show you how to start having success and help you get the most out of your boat. Heck, fuel’s so expensive these days you don’t want to waste it driving around catching wrasse!
We can do anything from a couple of miles offshore, right up to deep sea fishing or trolling in 200 metres.
Perth has over 40 quality species available to boat fishers so you might not even be aware of a great fish you can be catching every time you go out.
Most lessons are done from Cockburn through to Two Rocks and it’s best to allow a whole day if you really want to learn what you need to know. We can generally look at 4 to 5 species in a day.
