Fishing the beach is a fun way for the whole family to get together. It’s healthy, the kids love it and you can catch some fish too … if you get the basics right.
But most beach fishing trips end in failure and we want to fix that. Casting plays a huge part in your success because if you aren’t getting that right you might be missing the fish sitting just out of range.
Unless you have a friend with loads of patience, you’ll need to find someone who offers fishing lessons. Luckily you’ve come to the right place.
Unless you’ve got a boat, you’ll have to choose between the river or the beach and rocks. The surf and rocks offer more potential rewards but it’s also harder to learn. Using the right tackle plays an enormous part as well. There’s no point trying to cast a star sinker over the breakers with your bream rod. Well set up, balanced tackle puts the ball in your court more often than not, and we’ll look at that before we start fishing to make sure you’re getting off on the right foot.
Then we’ll target different fish with different baits and rigs. This is very important to your beach or rock fishing success.
Beaches from Fremantle to Two Rocks can be covered by our lessons and you don’t need a 4WD to get to many of them.
